Paspasco Barrio bike is the first book in a series of children's books about a small motorbike and his friends who are Habal habal bikes. They all live in a rural mountain barrio in the Philippines. There are 3 books written so far and they are aimed at children up to 7 or 8 years of age. The books are basically Chapter Books but have numerous, large, colour illustrations which make them suitable for younger children who can have the stories read to them by adults.
I would hope that the books will appeal to the millions of Filipinos, living in almost every country in the world, who have young children. I hope that the books are entertaining, funny and also help to show a little of the way that the majority of Filipinos, who don't live in the huge impersonal cities like Manila, live their everyday lives. I hope that the books will capture the hearts and minds of those who read them.
