Basking in the glow from their honeymoon in San Francisco, Anne and Albert return to their new home. No sooner are the couple settling into their new life as husband and wife than trouble strikes.
Vengeful and full of rage, Joe Young, a former ranch hand of Anne’s father, makes good on his vow and kidnaps Anne. She is soon rescued by Albert, but not before Young harms Anne.
Distraught, but determined, Albert nurses her back to health in site of the doctor’s conclusion that Anne will never survive her injuries.
