Persecuted

After completing their first mission, and Paige has exacted her revenge on the man who made her a vampire, she and Seth are tasked with another job: to find the source, and hopefully a cure for the virus. The virus that causes everyone who contracts it to turn into a werewolf or a vampire. What they end up finding is unsettling, and may change the course of human history.

Meanwhile, the final victim of Marcus, Anna Hawthorne, is the first person to undergo a new stage in the virus's evolution: she's becoming an angel. As she goes through her metamorphosis, she finds herself falling for the under world nurse who's tasked to care for her. But he already has a girlfriend. Is she just torturing herself with yet another thing she can't have, or does she have a chance?

These two stories are set against the backdrop of a changing world, and a society that doesn't want it to change.
