When Somali pirates brutally hijack an American sailboat with two couples on board, well-known New York photographer, Channey Moran, has no idea he will play a part in an imaginative, but dangerous rescue mission led by Roy Roy, a former CIA operative and linguist hiding in Belfast from the CIA, MI5 and Interpol.

Then the NYPD find Channey’s name and phone number, scribbled on an old, torn letter in the pocket of a homeless woman found dead in New York’s Tompkins Square Park. Channey hasn’t a clue who she is, until he deciphers the bottom half of two Irish Gaelic words torn in half.

Photo Shoot examines how unforeseen choices that connect disparate events – the pirate attack and the dead woman – propel Channey into a gripping evaluation of his life. Surviving the rescue mission is in question as he decides to what lengths he will go to help both people he does not know and those he loves.

This thriller follows vivid characters from the Indian Ocean to New York, Belfast, Paris and Somalia. Woven into the narrative is the production of a multi-national fashion shoot, clandestine surveillance by mercenaries in Somalia’s unforgiving desert, and a touch of romance as it builds to an explosive climax.

Photo Shoot is the second in a Channey Moran series of thrillers.
