Harper, ecstatic over his first solo job decorating a Piedmont Valley mansion for the holidays, confronts the realities of a truly dysfunctional family situation. A wealthy hedge fund manager with a mistress in Washington, a hyper sexed “cougar,” and a handsome graduate student son−Greg−lived and fought together in the ostentatious dwelling. Unsolicited overtures from both the wife and son further complicate Harper’s endeavors to fulfill his responsibilities in a professional manner.

Piqued by the son’s violent reaction when his overtures are rejected, Harper turns to Ed, a local college student for solace. With Ed, Harper discovers he posses a ferocious capacity he never suspected.

Back at the mansion, a valuable antique double-handled silver bowl goes missing and Harper is accused of theft. As a result, he loses the lucrative commission and his employment at the flower shop is in jeopardy. Only Greg’s intervention saves Harper from disaster. No longer in the family’s employ, Harper is free to get to know his studly rescuer better.
