Being born in Guatemala, a Third World country, I was brought to Canada and placed in foster care. As a child, teen, and young adult, I fought hard to find my “place” in our world.
There is a small handful of people I would like to thank for giving me the courage to share my innermost feelings: my love, Chris Moran, who always nourishes my emotions; a true friend, Sheila Braund, who saved me from a dark path; and my children, who remind me that the sun will shine tomorrow. Thank you from the depths of my heart.
