Raymond Thornton Chandler (1888 – 1859) was an American crime writer from Chicago whom is considered one of the greatest writers of crime fiction of all time. He created the private-eye Philip Marlowe and many of his books have been adapted for the big screen. This eBook gives an insight as to the books written by Chandler and the prices that they attain in the United States of America and the United Kingdom. As there are different versions with different dustjackets, you will be able to see at a glance the different designs. Some of Channing’s works were first published in the UK a few months before the US first edition and therefore comparisons of price with the US was deemed appropriate. Also, as Chandler had lived in the UK and the US, although he was born and died in America he spent the years from 1933 – 1959 in the UK. This eBook is only concerned with those books that were written by Chandler himself and not by others after his death in 1959 although others are mentioned as books after his death can be picked up from Internet book stores relatively cheaply.
