Elgol’s world holds many mysteries and wonders, but perhaps none as mysterious as Arran herself. Arran has arrived in Ormiscaig, where she learns to face both her fears and her destiny. She is the key to destroying the cursed Dalheian—an object that’s beginning to ruin both worlds, sent to Ormiscaig thousands of years ago by the traitorous king Arguth. With the help of the notorious wood nebs, enchanting fairies, and an army of merfolk, the battle for Ormiscaig starts with the ater, dangerous creatures corrupted by the evil growing in the ocean. The recently awoken kings of Scotland join Arran and Elgol to search through time, Scottish folklore, and prophecies to avert the impending doom.
