Have you ever wondered if this “Proverbs 31 Woman” even exists? Is she a real woman or the expression of a spiritual ideal? What if she does exist but we haven’t recognised her? I believe this woman does exist, she exists in all of us. All of us that collectively call ourselves “The Church” and “The Bride of Christ”.
There is a growing movement within the Christian church that is re-examining both its view of womanhood, and the place of women in the church. I believe that women are being called out from under the rule of male dominated patriarchy. They are being called out into equality, value, position and authority. Proverbs 31 has being used as a yoke of subjugation over women for too long. It is time for that yoke to be broken.
In this book, I have attempted to outline a better interpretation and application of these scriptures. An interpretation that throws light on the prophetic nature of this passage. An interpretation that brings Proverbs 31 in line with the “Meta Story” of God’s Word. An application that we can all attain to. An application of his “living word” into our daily lives.
