Located in the southeastern region of Italy, Puglia is an emerging and popular tourist destination in Italy. Puglia forms the ‘heel’ of the famous ‘boot’ of Italy. The region has been frequented by tourists for decades as it is a port of call for those visiting Greece and the Albanian coast. Puglia’s Latin name Apulia is derived from a Greek word that means – ‘the other side of the Adriatic’. Puglia has over 800 km of blue sea and a sunshine-drenched coastline, olive groves, baroque towns, and an excellent Mediterranean cuisine that provides visitors with an authentic taste of Italy.
