This collection of stories is based on two crime-fighting best-friends. Alex lost her father in a brutal crime, and has dedicated her life to protecting others.  Her best friend Jessica is the brains of the operation and also plays a hand in her training.  "The Chase" is a fast-paced street race in the streets of Los Angeles gone bad and sets the tone of the other stories in her crime fighting adventures. "Intruder Alert" is a thriller that follows Alex home with her one night stand to find someone has broken into her home. "Nemisis" is an action that follows Alex and Jessica during their first crime fighting mission as they figure it out. "Allies" is a bonus piece that follows Alex many years later crashed in a post-apocalyptic world, surrounded by three warrior tribes at war.
