I read Dean Urdahl's amazing, haunting book, Retribution. Like Lincoln, it has gotten hold of me in many ways and I can t let it go.

--Mark Ritchie, Minnesota Secretary of State

Another page-turner by Dean Urdahl. The high drama of frontier life in Minnesota during the Civil War comes to life vividly through his masterful storytelling. A must read!

--Mark Dayton, governor of Minnesota
