However, these things are a mere sample of some of the experiences Anita Davis Alexander  had while she worked as a primary grade teacher within the Chicago Public Schools.

In the book, Raise Your Hand If You Know the Answer: Three and a Half Years of Teaching in the Chicago Public School System, Ms. Davis Alexander provides a humorous retelling of her adventures in an academically underachieving school that was  filled with lively children, a highly incompetent staff and a megalomaniac principal who wielded his authority over his workers with maniacal intent.
