The true reason for our obesity epidemic is our collective and absolute belief in “growth”- in maximized material growth of business and economy!
There is in itself nothing wrong with a philosophy of “growth” or with the physical perspective. Nature herself teaches us of constant growth. Things either grow or die.
But have we really grown things like the gardener is growing healthy food? Observant of the cycles of nature? And—have we ever happily given back to the Earth??

And have we grown our inner selves as well, like the good gardener, realizing how our very essence wants to grow, grow up to be something, along with the things we grow outside ourselves?
No, we haven’t!
We only evolve matter, not humanity! “Our” progress is a progress of matter only! Technology is purely material, external and unconcerned with the workings of mind or soul.
And we don’t grow at natural rates either—we grow as fast as we possibly can, in all the superficial areas of life, wherever we actually can do so…
Instead of respecting the natural growth rates, like of forests, we grow at the expense of those forests. We take far too much fish from the oceans, giving nothing back and we destroy hundreds of life-forms by growing into their habitats. We have not been the gardener, but a parasite in our collectively shared habitat!
We have taken far too much and given nothing back! Are we not greedy and selfish buggers whose main faith is in the continuation of such uncontrolled growth during our own lifetime?
The reason for this blindness and its existence-threatening consequences is that we never looked at ‘the other side’ of this growth, which is—destruction and death!
The forest does not only constantly grow, but it also constantly dies! All the growing trees rot back into the soil. There is death everywhere!
In society and in the body the same universal laws apply as in the forest: more growth—more death and destruction…
But while growth is intended and embraced, destruction is ignored or not even recognized! Destruction as in the eradication of forests, waterways, landscapes, air, drinking water, the running out of resources on which our excessive growth is based…and of course—cancer!
We think we can just choose the nice part of the duality growth/destruction and get away with it! Restrict the destruction part to third world countries and to other species…
This is possibly the gravest error of our time!

Our religious faith in material growth (without death…) naturally also affects our bodies, our material selves!
Body simply follows mind. You believe in growth—and your body will obey!
Mind (genes, previous life) creates body in the first place and continues to shape the body in its image. Fearful, aggressive or selfless incarnations (foetuses) develop fearful, aggressive or selfless head-shapes, as phrenology clearly shows. The soul, via the genes, decides what pigmentation your irises will have, and also your blood and your DNA are a direct manifestation of who you are as a non-physical being.
Hormones are just another word for “feelings,” not anything else. If you get over your anger (adrenaline) by understanding, your adrenaline levels will immediately drop…

And if you avoid all thought of death and destruction, your body will grow disproportionately, as it is not balanced by a sufficient “astral” restraint!
