'As a guitarist, I've always thought the most satisfying way of playing has got to be fingerstyle. Whether it's in a classical, folk, blues, ragtime or any style, it's like the whole spectrum of sound is being used and nothing wasted. When someone says to you, 'Go on, play us a tune', it's a must to be able to pull something out of the bag, and play a complete piece. This is what I've been doing for years. Slowly building up a repetoire, so yes, I can play a tune! This anthology of fingerstyle guitar is a compilation of tunes, that I've either written or arranged. They are pieces that I perform, or use in my teaching, and range from quite simple to more advanced. The fifty two tunes are sequenced in alphabetical order and create an interesting mix. There's plenty of blues, and also a good measure of folk, ragtime and other styles. I'm sure there is something for all lovers of fingerstyle guitar in this volume, and all the pieces will help further your own learning. As a last note, I have purposely left out fingering so you can choose your own. All chords marked on the scores are to reflect the tonality of the bars, and not always the true harmonic structure of the notes. Enjoy, and here's to the next volume'.
All tunes are supported by audio and where available video.
