Is Martin Kaye the perfect fool? He is inexorably drawn into a web of adventures that move from London to Paris in an unlikely chain of intimate intrigue. Meanwhile, the war in Bosnia continues and diplomats can’t find a solution. Meet CIA operative Harry Porter and super-sexy Solange Dubois as they try to figure out what's really going on and what to do about it. Martin is a telecommunications expert working on his PhD. He flies to London and is drawn in to a sequence of meetings with beautiful women and spies, first the mysteriously attractive Merrilee Kim, then the secretive Drake Saleem. Harry, following an illicit shipment of weapons in transit to Bosnia, sees the barge carrying the weapons blow up on the Thames. Meanwhile, Simun Kudrow, head of Intellicom, is the one smuggling munitions and also the one behind Martin’s grant from the shadowy I.F.F. Kudrow, intent on becoming the Ted Turner of the Balkans, wants to use Martin to help expand a secret communications network in Bosnia. When his plans go badly awry he is forced to play his hand anyway. While Martin does his research in the U.K., Harry tails Drake and Merrilee to Paris where Harry pairs up with Solange. After their romantic reunion they stake out Saleem at the Hotel St. Simone and prepare for Martin’s expected arrival with his new side-kick Lizzie Bennington. Eventually they all come together and decide to push forward. We follow a deadly cloak and dagger caper in Zagreb, Croatia, and wind up at the killing fields of Srebrenica.
