It has been said, that the wealth a person accumulates is proportional to the number of people that are served. Thomas Edison, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs are examples. Past problems confronted from local communities to individual governments and even the interactions between national governments. Today, there are many problems facing all of humanity. Technology is the cause of some of those problems, but technology, ultimately, is the only solution to those concerns. Presented in this e-book are proposals that could help local communities, solve national concerns or, possibly, change the course of history. No claims are made about any of the proposals in “Saving Planet Earth.” Some of the many proposals have been considered or described before. Some may have patent protection. Hopefully, technology will be advanced by the consideration or reconsideration of these concepts. The proposals are:

● Solar Power Distillation Pipeline; a seawater to end-user freshwater pipeline using renewable energy only
● Ending Landfills; a process and process-details for diverting all waste to new end-user supply streams
● Proposals for Renewable Energy Sources; a discussion on alternative renewable energy methods
● Mining Seawater; a possible method for mining rare earths and precious metals from seawater
● Cheap Access To Space; an advocacy for croons
● An Interstellar Drive; a discussion of interstellar propulsion methods using space-borne resources
● No Carrier Cell Phone System; a proposal for a cell-phone system using only stand-alone devices
● Room Temperature Incandescence; a description for identifying a material that would provide illumination at room temperature with no energy input
● Drawing Diamonds; a method for infusing carbon-streams into high-pressure/high-temperature diamond forming vessels.
● 92U+E→13Al+79Au; a proposal for breaking element Uranium into Aluminum and Gold
● A Database of All Chemical Compounds; a proposal to build a database and include all data in a manor that would allow world-wide access to the data and provide the ability to extrapolate new compounds
● Creating the Complete Physics Formula; this would be an Internet competition for a large monetary prize. The goal would be for professional or non-professional participants to submit a treatise on their rendition of a “Theory of Everything

Choose a project from these, which are presented, or create a new idea. Research the facts, the possibilities. Talk to friends and professionals about the effort. Make a business plan. Start the process for a Patent. At the right time, announce a news conference with local radio and TV news outlets and proclaim the advantages of the invention. Seek start-up capital through friends, family or crowdfunding

If a decision has been made to work on a project, then another decision is required: make the item in-house, subcontract to a jobber or sell out-right to a large company. If the marketing has been thorough enough and the product has merit, a large company might be approachable for outright sale or otherwise. However, there is a lot of resistance to this option. It is a matter of battling the concept “Not-Invented-Here.” If it is a small, inexpensive product, a few could be made in-house and sold. If the product requires an outside contractor, the question becomes how much money to invest and how to market the inventory. A small test market of the product might prove useful.
