Searching for True Patriotism

Collecting columns which Prof. Tae-Woo Park, one of the representative intellectuals in Korea who covers not only domestic politics but international politics as well, has written in chief English newspapers for the last few years, he published a book as a form of e-book. The author as an international political scientist well armed with theory actually participated in Korean politics as well. With that, he acquired and considered the substantial things in the field within the maelstrom of Korean politics. In the book, he skillfully analyzes from a balanced view Koreas diplomatic problems as well as Korean political issues with the axes of the problems of policies to North Korea, reunification issues in the Korean Peninsula, the R.O.K.-U.S. alliance, and relations with China. He also has eagerly and actively published solutions about chief pending issues at certain moments through the press. This English column collection is the authors 15th book. The writings in it were published chiefly on the International Herald Tribune, JoongAng Daily of JoongAng Ilbo, the affiliated newspaper, the Korea Times, and the Seoul Times. It will provide a guideline which well integrates ideal and reality for youths who intend to acquire the global sense.
