Dr. Jenkins, a renowned Baherian Political Science Professor, suddenly abandons his lucrative teaching job in a reputable America University to play partisan politics in his native country in Africa. Every warning given to him to be careful with village politicians falls on deaf ears in the same way he had ignored the advice of his peers not to swim in the murky and shark infested waters in the first place. His first shock comes with his resounding defeat in a senatorial seat election by a deep pocketed stark illiterate. Thinking that his failure came from a poor choice of party affiliation, he switches party only for things to get messier for him. He soon finds himself between the rock and a hard place as he is caught in a cross fire from Barrister Edgar Morris and Chief Idris Zobas, leaders of the two dominant parties in his country. He becomes an unwilling pun in a chess game as the two men battle for political dominance. He could chicken out of the game if he still had a way of doing so without hurting his political career or displeasing any of the godfathers. Unfortunately, he has reached a point in his political quest where backing out has become as difficult as going forward. Each of the options would come at a tremendous cost. In confused foolhardy bravado, he ventures forward but barely escapes with his life at a point and time he could swear he had excelled -A blistering tale of deception, terror and infamy...
