At the sources of the Seine.
A long time ago, in the days of the first Celts, a legend reported that a supernatural being resided at the source of the Seine. Some said it was a siren, others evoked a nymph. But all agreed that her beauty shone on the waters of the Seine.
But that was the time when the country lived in peace.
** The time of wars.**
Then everything switched.
There were wars ... The village chiefs gathered and forbade men to go to the springs. Prohibition, even under pain of death, of pronouncing the name of Sequana.
A thousand years passed under the steel grip of the village chiefs.
** A thousand years later, an adventurous bard. **
But one day there was a bard who ventured to the outskirts of the spring. And the waters returned the reflection of a face that overthrew him. On his return, the chief of his village attacked him violently. He would be punished with death if he again frequented the forbidden springs.
** A horror that rises. **
This, however, was not the most serious danger. On the outskirts of the forest, an unnamed horror had just arisen. Extinct for an eternity, it roared again and threatened to carry everything under the fury of its fangs.
NOTE.
This story was "whispered" to its author as he walked along the river Seine from the source to the sea, step by step.
It was inspired by two facts:
1 - The myth of Sequana, of which he had just learned by visiting the sources of the Seine. According to this myth, Sequana once protected the domain of sources.
2 - The discovery in the heart of forests close to the sources the "vestige" of monster that totaly looked like the carcass of a fossilized dinosaur.

And suddenly the schema of this story appeared to him.
