My life was good. No. It was great. I had found the woman of my dreams. Marie and I got married just after she graduated Medical School and opened a small family practice with my best friend, Alex, and her wife, Nicole. Marie had always wanted babies so she got pregnant. Sounds lovely, doesn’t it? Sounds like the perfect life one aspires for, but fate had a cynical plan waiting for us.

The day Marie delivered our twin girls is the day Marisol, Marie’s best friend had a traumatic car accident and died. My once happy go lucky wife has shut down from everything and everyone around her, including me. On Alex’s advice I sought out a therapist to help me, help Marie, but that’s not exactly what happened. Little did I realize that I was the one who needed therapy.
