Sharon Stone is an actress, producer, and former model. In the late 1970s she won the title of Miss Crawford Country in Meadville, and when one of the judges said she should drop out of school and move to New York City to pursue modeling, her mother agreed to let her move in with an aunt in New Jersey.

 

Alongside the film she appeared in Playboy, and was rated among the 25 sexiest stars of the century. In 1992 she was in the career defining film Basic Instinct, playing a role that had been contested by 150 other women. Following the film, Stone was named one of People's 50 most beautiful people.

 

In 1995 she won her first Golden Globe award for Best Actress in a Dramatic Motion Picture for her role in Casino.
