From Canberras toss-bombing atom bombs in Libya to a stolen ICBM lost Baltic Sea, Steve Steele must find the mastermind behind the attempt to steal American secrets - only to discover another secret weapon, and an even bigger plot; to blow up new York.
31st march, 1966. Steele and his associate , First Lieutenant Lennox Bird travel to Malmo where she is captured and flown to Riga. There follows a sea battle during which the Russians lose an ex-Kreigsmarine scnell-boat and crew.
Then they reveal their secret weapon; the Ekranoplan. This is a cross between an airliner and a naval destroyer that can 'fly' at almost 300 mph. It is intended then to re-fit the machine with the stolen atom bomb, then 'fly' it to N.Y..
"When the elements are not conducive the shortfall to equilibrium is made up with skill, confidence and experience."
