Within the walls of a secret Catholic sect known as the Order of the Inserere Immaculatas, lovers become worshipers, praising God with the euphoric plundering of a body’s most intimate secrets. The Inserere offer up their sensual pleasures, these intimate keys to heaven, giving any seeker the opportunity to receive a special divine ecstasy.

Confession of sins and penance are specialties of Serah, the Mother Priestess of the Order. When a novice, Lena, strays from their teachings in a moment of selfish passion, Serah must take swift action to save the penitent and the Order's reputation. Lena isn't the only member of the Order at fault, and Serah finds herself facing a dual punishment that must serve as an example for all.
