“"How is it then, brethren? When you come together, every one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done ...unto edifying." - 1 Corinthians 14:26
"The hour comes, and now is, ... when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him ... must worship Him in Spirit and in truth." - St. John 4:19-26
Will tradition give the “voice of God’s Spirit” a chance to meet the individual; or is the person so closed minded that they just go through their tradition in a fashion ... that neglects the "Spiritual life" not only of oneself, but of others in the body of Christ ?
Has the person given importance to the traditions: ...or, to the Spirit of God? Does your tradition leave room for the "ministries", and gifts of the Holy Spirit, to be in action ?
In most cases, I fear the answer may be "no". We need to stop, and repent. There is nothing more important than the Spirit of God operating in people's lives as they meet to fellowship.
The clergy, the lecturers, the singing praisers, need to make way for the Spiritual ministries of the Body of Christ. The tradition of man is anti-wisdom. It blocks vision.
"they that worship Him ... must worship Him in Spirit … and in truth."
Come Forth
Some of you have certain traditions that you do, that seem to help you give way to the presence of God. This is "your point of faith". I am speaking to you now, because I don't want to demolish your "point of faith".
If you are honest, and will give time for God’s Spirit to speak to you, and to lead you into His intentions, then I bless you. God is all-powerful. He is not afraid of traditions; He looks to your faith, and open honesty.
But, on the other hand, if you think that because you have done these rituals faithfully, that this is your salvation, it is not so. For salvation is about being brought back to the "relationship" presence of God.(St. John 17:3, Ephesians 1:17-19)
Reconciliation.
Come forth. Do what you think you should do …to enter the "meeting place" with God. God will invade that faith, and set you free, … even in the midst of your surroundings.”
