What's Aleister Crowley up to these days? Don't imagine that death would stop him from making mischief! There's magick and drugs and sex and all sorts of weirdness when the Master Therion himself rises from the dead.
When offered a ride in an ancient DeSoto driven by a witch, an anchorless young man named Rupert and his salamander sidekick, Py, embark on a peculiar adventure that takes them from page to page across the desert to an elsewhere Stonehenge and a place far removed from anywhen.
Once the witch invites them to attend her Anniversary of the Pyramids party, things turn decidedly weird. A surreal landscape fills with an assortment of bizarre characters and events leading inexorably to an even more bizarre climax. Their journey becomes a search for the meaning of will and self, and an exploration of the very suspicious nature of reality.
Trucks full of meat parts and Albertus Magnus,
Witches and Stonehenge, alchemic detritus,
Cocktails and strippers and all sorts of drugs,
Rupert's befuddled and Py's eating bugs....
Old De Soto, golden bar wench, oh the game is on
Did anyone mention the live neutron bomb?
