1.5 Million years ago the earliest humans nearly vanished. We survived but no one knows how. Rumors and myth were all the remained of a past that seemed impossible.
Until now.
The sphere has been found again.
The countdown to the next stage of human evolution is about to begin, and humanity might not survive this time. Or at least not those that are marked for removal.

As though at her unspoken command, the sapphire light burned forth in an arc of sparks. They erupted from the outside edges of the disc and flowed into the body of the crystal. Rapid electrical shifts fluttered and shimmered around the scarab then beat back, bathing the disc and the markings in an unholy glow. As she watched and concentrated on her breathing she noticed a shift; they seemed to be moving in time with her heartbeat. It was syncing up! Again these tiny shards of light began to change, shifting, moving, advancing, and retreating in the blue gleaming that surrounded the scarab. They were no longer resembled archaic writing. They were shifting into something else. Something alien to her eyes but oddly she felt as if she should know them. They were things... objects and yet still they remained beyond her understanding. It seemed to have grown larger but her rational mind rejected that possibility as nothing more than a trick of the light. And yet….
