Some of us believed that once we became Christians our life would become so much easier. There would be no problems and life would be a breeze. We learned otherwise, because just like Peter, we would be sifted. The end product, though would the the "real stuff," the wheat. The process of getting to the end product would be difficult, but valuable.
After we recovered from our testing, we would not be chastised by our lord, Jesus. Instead we would be told to "feed the sheep." In other words, we would share the love of God in Christ with others and apply the principles we had learned through our testing(s). God's Word would be applied to real life situations. Others would be helped in their journey of faith.
My poetry reflects that position. May some of the lessons I have learned and applied to assisting others in their faith journey help you never to give up, but to walk with Christ daily.
