In 1942, 25,000 young women applied to join theWomen's AirForce
Service Pilots (WASPs), but few were accepted. They fought male

Sixty years later, granddaughter, SCARLETT MITCHELL, a single mom raising her daughter in a dying West Texas town, receives Sally's journal mailed anonymously from Scotland by someone who wants to clear his conscience before he dies.
Scarlett unearths more journals and gradually discovers the truth about her grandmother's flight.
