Roy P. Benavidez is a man who struggled through disappointing circumstances as a young child, overcame prejudice and discrimination, conquered paralysis, fought through two tours in Vietnam and became an American icon, a hero. Roy never took credit for being a hero. In fact, he'd always say, "I am not a hero. The heroes are the ones who never came back.
