SUMMER IN TEXAS IS AS HOT AS IT GETS

And no one knows that better than Matt.

Fresh off of working the oilfields of East Texas, and with an entire summer before his senior year of college, Matt is flush with cash and ready for some down time on the West Coast.

When his new motorcycle gives out before even reaching the state’s border, however, Matt finds himself spending time in Pecos—a small Texas town that means big problems for Matt.

Matt meets Joy—a blonde Texas bombshell with eyes the color of the Southern sky, and daughter of a wealthy rancher. One look at Joy, and Matt doesn’t feel so bad about spending his summer in Pecos.

Joy’s brother Mark, on the other hand, sees things different.

Mark runs a local gang of no-goods—petty thugs bent on causing trouble, especially for unwanted strangers making a play on Mark’s sister.

When Mark and his boys back Matt into a corner, Matt handles them well enough, but opens a can of worms in the process.

Embroiled in local politics and small-town drama, and facing threats at every turn, Matt has to fight to win Joy’s heart, to keep Mark and his gang at bay, and to survive Pecos long enough to ride off into the sunset.
