The school bus is late! And of all days, today! This is the day Mrs. Navarro is bringing in Fluffy’s puppies! What if they don’t get there in time to hug them?
Finally the big yellow bus comes barreling to a halt, with Tim, a substitute driver, at the wheel. Cellphone in hand, he zooms off before the kids are all seated, tossing them around like bowling pins. The children are alarmed at the danger he is putting them in as he weaves and bobs through the streets.
Madison quickly nicknames him “Texting Tim” as the kids unite in their mission to get to class safely, using every drop of creative energy they can muster to make him quit texting and pay attention to the road.
