The 100-Year-Old-Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared, written by Jonas Jonasson, follows the travels of Allan Karlsson. Allan Karlsson currently resides in a nursing home. On his 100th birthday, Karlsson decides that the nursing home is not the last place he wants to see before he dies. Therefore, he climbs out of his bedroom window at the nursing home and heads towards the bus stop. There, he meets a young man also waiting for the bus.
