In a nutshell, when it comes to relationships men see three kinds of women:
[1] the one he wants to sleep with just for fun [the fling],
[2] the one he can commit to as a girlfriend but not for life
[3] the one he wants to spend all his life with, the wife
Please note that no.1 and 2 can be one woman sometimes, and no. 2 and 3 can be one woman. It really depends on what kind of woman she is.
