As the book opens, Michael has been kidnapped. He has grown rich from lectures and books about how to use the chip, but his kidnappers have a more devious plan that just getting his money.
As the plot unfolds, Michael uses the chip to help him escape, and while being pursued by his former captors, he searches for his missing fiancée.
Eventually he realizes that the goal of the chip designer is to take over the world. Michael must stop him!
