The Adventures of a Greenman' is a 15 part true short story series, about the experiences of a modern day nomad called Adam, who wanders his way around the earth for a decade. The parts collectively form the epic: 'I Travel Light: The Man Who Walked Out of the World'. In Part 11, the wanderer sets of for a winter in Crete, wandering the shorelines and exploring the wild. House-sitting in remote hamlets in the South and going even further a field, as he catches a fishing boat to the island of Gavdos, a barely inhabited spot between Crete and Libya. There he roams, building camps and searching for drinking water, with the stray puppy dog who has tagged along. It is the nearest he will ever come to a 'desert island experience' and it really isn't far off! There is no mains electricity or drinking water on tap in the place, but somehow Adam manages to survive there for 6 weeks. This is an extraordinary true story, one of many of A Greenman's adventurer’s tales, leading gently into Part 12 - 'Raw Travel Italy'.
