THE ALIEN AND THE YEAR WHEN STARDUST FELL includes the novels THE ALIEN and the post-apocalyptic THE YEAR WHEN STARDUST FELL by noted writer Raymond F. Jones.
THE ALIEN
Just speculate for a moment on the enormous challenge to archeology when interplanetary flight is possible - and relics are found of a race extinct for half a million years! A race, incidentally, that was scientifically so far in advance of ours that they held the secret of the restoration of life!
One member of that race can be brought back after 500,000 years of death . . .
THE YEAR WHEN STARDUST FELL
The copper-yellow glow of the comet seemed to have brought the whole world to a grinding halt. Airplanes, trains, generators and heavy machinery were immobilized. Finally man was left with only a few primitive tools. In the resulting chaos parts of Mayfield were burned and looted by hunger-crazed mobs that stole and killed as they advanced.
Raymond F. Jones (1915-1994) was a popular pulp science fiction writer of the 1940s-1970s, best known for his 1952 novel, THIS ISLAND EARTH, which was adapted into the 1955 film of the same name.
