An early romance ends leaving Sister Francis desperate. Her lover, Fr. Edward's joins the Navy. She leaves the convent destitute, gets raped, gets pregnant and gets an abortion. The Archbishop has a Mafia brother-in-law and his own secrets. A Priest, Father Lazardo, is a serial molester and a buddy of the attorney who protects him and the Church. A falsely accused priest, who is an x-lover of the Vicar General, commits suicide after he is arrested on false charges on the Bishop's order. The Vicar turns on the Bishop and his attorney plots revenge.
