A group of students travel to a local Renaissance Fair and discover an ancient tome called the Book of Power. Upon opening the book and reading a single line of text, it transports them to another world called Midaria.

This fantastical world, ruled by both magic and technology is embroiled in a power struggle between a group of freedom fighters and a powerful usurper king.
