The Cool Dog and Hot Bitch Band

One late autumn morning in Brighton, two bodies are discovered. An elderly man and a young man. Detective Trinder, on his first day at the force, appears to have solved both. The disappearance of a substantial sum of money and the girlfriend of the young man casts doubt on his judgement. The money, for a drug purchase due later in the day, brings a man called Moyser from London to the home of Jimmy Wilson. He wants a debt repaid and finding his money will satisfy it. Martina and Suvlana join forces to save the girlfriend and maintain their anonymity. Following the money their unofficial investigation is noticed by their boss, Gregori Keslov. In return for his assistance they begin a highly dangerous mission to recover cash, drugs and the gang leader himself. Suvlana's ability on the bass guitar is tested as are the patience of the French gendarmes, the London Drug Squad chief and the Brighton force.
