It is natural for people to migrate from one place to another in search for the bounties of God spread across the globe. In the past, the Europeans came to Africa in search for slave labour. Later, with the invention of machinery for the mass production of goods, they jettisoned slave trade and scrambled for Africa to get raw materials for their industries and other resources for developing their nations. Presently, there is an alarming increase in the number of people migrating to Europe from Africa and Asia as refugees, asylum seekers and migrant workers. Could this be the beginning of the scramble for Europe by Africans and Asians? Time will tell. The story of Musa Danejo, the desperate migrant, is a fiction packed with facts about the push and full factors responsible for the unprecedented rate at which Africans migrate to Europe.
