Who would have thought that a hound dog, who normally loves to chase birds and is even known as a hunting dog, would come to love and care for a bird. From the beginning, she would show compassion and care, a true but rare connection between the two. The bird would sing each day a song of thanks dedicated to the faithful dog, who would show a difference in what nature had instilled in its existence; maybe the small dog did not come to realize that dogs and birds are not the best of friends. What a stubborn puppy, what a loving puppy. Her innocence would unknowingly direct her to protect the bird; it would become her duty and mission to continue to observe and protect her newfound feathered friend.
