This book is to share my testimony of the many feelings, thoughts, surprises, setbacks, frustrations, disappointments and triumphs I have experienced along this journey called life. I pray through your reading experience you realize the depth of God’s lobe. I pray you flow in God’s original plan and purpose for your life and you are open to receive all God has intended for you. I have been commissioned by sanction of the Holy Spirit to share with you not because my life experiences are so unique and intriguing; but rather, because understanding the simplicity of God’s love and ever present help will facilitate you in your growth as a Kingdom citizen. Are you at a place in life where you want more? Keep an open heart and mind. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you into His truth and watch the Christian experience explode within you. The Door is presented in four “phases” which correspond to four “phases” of my life. Upon approach to The Door, phase 1, you will journey with me on my transformation from sinner to saint. Damascus Road you ask? We all travel one, some more rocky than others. What is painful, though, is to go through life and never recognize you were on a Damascus Road and never, ever getting off. Just Inside the Door, phase 2, is a phase of questions. Where does one go from here? Am I making the right decision(s)? it is a time of exploration and one of feeling satisfied but not fully gratified. It defines the salvation experience and draws one to wanting more. Beyond the Door – Part 1, phase 3, is the discovery phase. Here spiritual truths, promises and positions are unlocked and we learn to prosper even as our soul prospers. It can be a delicate phase akin to giving a child access to too much candy at one time; or perhaps the indigent too much money at one time. What good does it profit a man to gain the world and loose his soul; to win a lottery an have no understanding of the purpose of money or how to manage it? Going Beyond the Door – Part 1 is a platform for gaining wisdom and understanding. Beyond the Door – Part 2, phase 4, concludes the story but not the journey. It is more of a commencement. The journey is a continuous experience from glory to glory and hope to hope. It is a time of excitement and rejoicing as we commit to nurture and grow in our relationship with God daily. In going Beyond the Door – Part 1, we learn to revel in His goodness and grace. Alas, we are a Kingdom citizen. The Door is an invitation; knock and it shall be opened!
