A thriller about a normal young man called Stefan, who lives on a complex commonly referred to as The Estate. The Estate comprises of four apartment towers, positioned in a square with one at each corner separated by a park. In the centre of the park stands a small chapel. Outside of the chapel, resting just above the ground is an unusual bronze plaque engraved with obscure symbols. Even though it looks like some sort of contemporary sculpture, archeological history and evidence states that it could have been there for millions of years. More significantly it has also been referred to on a number of occasions as one of gateways to hell.
It is Christmas 1985 and Stefan’s relatively normal life becomes disrupted when he has to battle with a series of events. He continuously sees strange images in his apartment, his life is threatened on several occasions and Stefan cannot help but think that the mysterious girl, Sarah, who has just moved into the building next to his, is involved somehow. His fears are confirmed one night when Sarah tells him that his family is from a long line of ancient protectors. He learns that he and the Estate are part of a theological prophecy with a realisation that these strange events have been leading up to Christmas Eve, and someone is plotting to open the gateway.
In the weeks leading up to Christmas Stefan has to identify what is reality and what is myth. His only source of information is a woman he has known for a few days and doesn’t wholly trust. In the process he has to dodge danger, delve into his family history and stop an incredible force from entering and taking over the earth.
