that which we always experience

the Mona Lisa of the work "I and the Village"

our prayers

that woman who is looking at the jewelry in the glass case

as if forgetting they are living

because roses need winter more

in order to smell like roses

because the story of the 'forgotten' lives

in the mountains leery of telling even the clouds

thus without being caught unduly

by the darkness that knows no night

we plant Veysel's longing in the emptiness of the sky

the yellow wheat of our dreams

without a care in the world

and if it remains our heart banished in days of bluish syllables

even if our seasons are jealous

of our eyes and the poppies and grains

we leave our dreams

in order not to fall

as children fall to their knees

but it's like this or that

our destiny is to fall
