The Gunpowder Girls

Amanda Shilling is a school teacher with a problem. A patrol of Confederate soldiers has to destroy a river boat full of Union gunpowder and Amanda's town is going to get blown up with it. Unless the women can find a way of persuading the Rebels to do their duty without destroying their homes. Still, with the husbands locked up, a done deal is possible -- and the deal is that the women get done.
