Ernest Percival Rhys (July 17, 1859 May 25, 1946) was an English writer who wrote in a variety of genres, including essays, stories, poetry, novels, and even plays. However, hes best known for his work in editing, founding the Everyman's Library series of affordable classics. Rhys hoped to eventually release 1,000 titles, and the series eventually reached it by the 1950s. One of Rhys editions was The Haunters & The Haunted, a collection of nearly 60 stories about ghosts and supernatural occurrences that are guaranteed to raise the hair on readers backs.
