The Hip-Hop Gospel of Luke is a rhyming version of Luke’s gospel that can be rapped, performed or read in the head. It’s a great way to communicate the Bible in a new and engaging way. The Hip-Hop Gospel of Luke is ideal if you’re reading the Bible as part of your own daily devotion, or if you’re a teacher, pastor or youth leader looking for a first-rate resource that you can use in your classroom, church or group. But don’t just take our word for it…

“Super cool!” Chris Evans, BBC Radio 2

“I just wanted to say how much I appreciated being able to use something like this and to say thank you for putting this together. My view is that it’s an absolute winner – how we need innovative and exciting ways to connect the Gospel with an increasingly non-church younger generation.” Paul Carr, Minister

“A masterpiece!” The Guardian Newspaper

“…simply awesome! I love your creative and relevant way to communicate the Christian story.” Mark Russell, CEO Church Army

“Pretty impressive, ten out of ten.” Rowan Williams, former Archbishop of Canterbury

“The man’s a hero – a hero who can rap far better than we could ever dream of…” Huffington Post

“The rap was pure genius, and stayed close to the story from Luke’s gospel without losing any of its impact.” Julie Etchingham, ITV

This version of The Hip-Hop Gospel of Luke contains a helpful study guide making it ideal for personal, group or class study. The text from Chapters 1-8 has been divided into 33 different Bible stories and for each Bible story there is a reflection and a response with something to do, pray and discuss. Each Bible story is a verse-by-verse rendition of the original story written in rhyming couplets, and to help you read or perform the text we have included emphasis marks (underlines) in each line - one for each beat in a bar or measure.
