The Historical Development of Japanese Investment in Singapore 1979-2007

Scientific Essay from the year 2015 in the subject History - Asia, University Kebangsaan Malaysia, course: History, language: English, abstract: As Asia's most advanced countries in the field of company and could be likened to the countries of Western Europe and the United States, Japan has provided significant investment to Singapore. This is done as soon as the Singapore government decided to expand the corporate sector in the country and making it the backbone of economic development of countries in the early years of the sixties. The opening of Jurong city has led to an increase in Japanese factories and companies that opened in Singapore. Economic relations between Singapore and Japan narrowed and moved in tandem with the development and progress made by Singapore in the field of industry. By January 1977, Japan is the major business partner to Singapore and most foreign countries to invest here, followed by the United States and West Germany.

Currently working as AIA Premier Financial Advisor, Dr. Uqbah Iqbal was born in the United States and emigrated to Malaysia at the age of six. In 2016, OMICS Publishing Group recognized him as a Valuable Author, Editor and Reviewer under Management Journals Category. In 2017, Scientific Federation recognized him as one of the brilliant and most gifted minds of this century; International Agency for Standards and Ratings recognized him as the World Champion in Social Science (Sept - Oct), the World Champion in Humanities (Oct - Nov), the World Champion in Social Science (Nov), the World Champion in Humanities (Nov) and the World Champion in Social Science (Nov); Scientific & Academic Publishing Co. recognized him as an expert, have an international reputation and extensive experience in the field of social science; Health Science Journal recognized his work asthe utmost valuable and an eminent source of information in the field of health science; Nessa Journal ofSocial and Political Science recognized him as one of the outstanding researchers in the field of Social and Political Science and Scientia Ricerca recognized his work asthe utmost valuable and an eminent source of information to a wide range of research community. He is the First Malaysian Historian that has his own 3 special issue journals, most journal articles and considers himself as the last Malaysian historian from his generation.
