We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.
These and much more expressed by Pastor Joe depict how much we have suppressed the truth and ridiculed the image of God in us. We have protected lies and called them traditions. We have twisted the gospel and called it doctrines. We have believed in falsehoods superstitiously and called it culture. We have allowed the glory of our values fade away and called it modernization.
Barack Obama, the first black man to be sworn in as the American President, the 44th President of the United States of America stated in His farewell speech to Americans that “we must guard against a weakening of our values”.
There have been many motivations from others similar to Barack Obama’s farewell speech but there is no way we could recover the truth and preserve our values except we restore the image of God in us as the lamp of our body. The world is being defeated by darkness because we all have compromised and betrayed the image of God in us for so long.
